In case you couldn't tell, I am getting incredibly excited for fall fashion. The truth is that with so many adorable trends and striking colors to choose from, it's hard not to be! Inspired by the season, today I've decided to highlight the comeback of one surprisingly versatile look that stirs strong opinions from both its admirers and detractors: the midi skirt.
Styled correctly this trend is at the forefront of sophistication. A midi is a great piece to have if you'd like to change up your look a little an be classy while doing so. Make sure to balance out the length of the skirt by choosing one with a high waist or using a belt to create shape. Add some additional pop in the footwear department. Think boots, oxofords or a great pair of heels.
What I love the most about the skirt I am wearing today is the print. In fact, I think that the mix between the elegance given by the length and the playfulness given by the print is adorable. I mean, I look like a sophisticated and smart little blonde girl, don't you think? Besides, the fabric look so expensive and chic.
All in all, I must admit there's a certain amount of attitude required to rock a revealing top or a short skirt, but it takes just as much to really own a trend like this one, where the trick is to look fashionable while also covering up. Challenge yourself to try out the midi skirt-you may be surprised at how much you like it!
