If the shoe fits
Flats, heels, boots, ballets, sandals, platforms, wedges, strappy, buckled, lace-ups, peep toes, I love shoes, desire and lust after them. I feel my heart race when I look at shoes I am considering buying, feel a jolt of joy when I wear them for the first time. I know that I need to have shoes like I know that I need to eat and breathe. Perhaps I wouldn't die if I had to wear the same drab pair of shoes for the rest of my life, but some part of me would wit and fade. Sometimes, when I think about the things I would scramble to grab if my house were on fire, I think about my shoes.
I am far from the only woman who feels this way. Most of us do. On average, a woman owns, 20 pairs of shoes at any given time. Many own more.
Perhaps your husband doesn't agree with this, but there is this unexplainable feeling associated with buying a new pair of shoes. While many of us can't quite put a finger on the explanation, thankfully psychologists have done the job for us.
You may already know that, dopamine releases good feeling throught the body. Well, what if I told you that shopping releases dopamine, too? It's true! Studies indicate that shopping, especially for shoes, releases large amounts of dopamine into our brains, causing for that good-feeling.
Talking about today's outfit, I must say that besides the shoes I really love this off the shoulder top. With tons of different kinds of tops out there, there are so many ways to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. As it turns out, off the shoulder shirts are actually quite versatile- depending on the accesssories, they can be dressed up or be made to look super casual. They expose a little skin without being too in-your-face sexy. Moreover, they work for everyone, no matter what your individual style is. It's safe to say I've been converted, and that I'll be wearing this top a lot!
