More stripes for me, please!
Happy Monday, everyone! Hope your week started well so far!
Sometimes mixing more than one current trend can seem a bit over the top, but trust me it can also look amazing. In this post I am showing you how to mix leather, stripes and print. Stripes are such a cool and easy print to mix with others to make the whole outfit interesting and on another level. For this particular occasion I went for a touch of yellow and loved it!
I've mentioned before how much I love stripes, but this is definitely one of my favourite outfits. I adore the mix of casual and fitted, as that makes the look a bit more special. Different stripe widths play a role in creating an optical illusion. If you have a wide hips you don't want to place wide horizontal stripes in that area; instead opt for a dress that has dark medium size vertical stripes to create the illusion of a thinner body. Quick rule of thumb-anywhere you want to enlarge place a horizontal stripe, anywhere you want to thin or lengthen place a vertical stripe.
I wore this outfit to a fashion event that took place at Trivale Shopping Center and to which my dear friend, Andreea, had the pleasure to invite me. Andreea is the girl behind the pretty skirts you saw here and here and I am glad that together with the girls from GlamUp Magazine they try to make a change to the fashion life in our town. The event begun with a short presentation of some outfits chosen from Eponge store by the two girls, Andreea and Amalia. Further we were able to see a beautfiul collection of bowties from Alex Chelaru. Although bowties aren't exactly my thing, some of them were really interesting. The event ended with a jewellery display organised by Splend'Or. You will find some pictured from the event at the end of this post.
