Nothing like a fun coat to overcome the unexcitment of these cold days. I think January is that month when you really just feel like staying home by the fireplace and wait for spring to come. Well, at least for me, after the craze of the holidays, the New Year always feels too calm. I guess that's precisely the point, having time to create new routines and practice your new year's resolution.

Talking about 2015, Pantone named Marsala its color of the year. Much like fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophiticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealling and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishing and interiors.

Very rich and full of life, Marsala brings us a senation of warm and fearless world where sexy is the new great thing. Pairing it with neutrals such as black, white and grey or metallics such as gold and silver seems to soften hue, especially when it's a part of a print or pattern. We're not seeing as much of marsala in shoes, but it's a reasonable punctuation of color in a handbag, on earrings or a necklace when worn against a predominantly grey, black or even navy ensemble.

For today I have prepared another winter outfit that is suitable for different occasions that may occur during these days. I have chosen a marsala turtleneck which is both comfy and chic. If you feel like the shoes are too much you can replace them by a pair of cute ankle boots. You all know about my love for statement necklaces and I am super excited that I have discovered a new site : www.chicflavour.ro. I've ordered 5 necklaces so far and I am very pleased with them. They look gorgeous and the price is more than affordable.

Looking forward to hear your impressions!
Yours truly,
Valentina

Those of you who read my blog on regular basis might have noticed that I tend to match my nail polish with the outfit I'm wearing. Some say it's an obsession, but I like to call it care for details.
For me, beautiful nails increase my confidence. Even though it is such a tiny and minimal object, it changes the way I think and feel. I believe I can take on the world with these ten fingers painted in the color of my choice. From here derives my passion for nail polishes.
First of all, I will begin by telling you that I am big fan of Flormar. I love the consistency of the nail polish: not too thick, not too watery ( just right for an easy application). The color range is amazing, it dries fast, it doesn 't stain and lasts longer on nails. And last, but not the least, how could you ever go wrong with a nail polish this great that costs only 7,5 lei (1.6 euros)?
On the second place comes Miss Sporty. Their color ranges are also wide, fancy and bold. The consistency of the nail polishes are thick, not clumpy at all and gives a smooth finish. Unfortunately, they don't last very long without a top coat. The price is also more than affordable.
Talking about prices, I have two nail polishes from OPI. I must admit: they are good. But I don't see such a big difference between them and Flormar. So, thinking that with one OPI nail polish you buy almost 7 of Flormar, it is obvious which one is a better choice.
Other brands that I like and use are: Avon, Golden Rose, Rimmel,  Farmasi and Ados.
When it comes to colors I have no boundaries. I have a soft spot for all of them, from nude and soft pink to electric blue and black.
What about you? Which one is your favorite?

Hello, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Taking into account the fact that, lately, the weather got warmer I found myself able to wear shoes. I must be honest: I hate wearing boots, therefore I hate buying them. Strictly out of necessity I have one pair of black boots ,one pair of brown ones and one pair of black ankle boots. That's all. And if you think that when it comes to shoes the number is countless, that might seem quite odd. So, as soon as it became sunny and warm I took my heeled shoes out for a walk (well, actually, a short walk this time).

I don't know if I had mentioned it before, but coats happen to be my particular weakness. Ok...ok... I'll admit: one of my particular weakness. This coat is one of the treasures I found at Zara. Techincally speaking, it was a gift from my boyfriend, but I was the one who spotted it last summer. So, when he bought it for me I was like a child playing with his favorite toy, thinking about how to style it and eager to wear it.

Since I absolutely adore the combination of light blue and nude, I paired my pants with a nude sweater and a pair of animal print pumps. To add a bit of coziness to this look, I added a white scarf and a grey bag. I finished the look by adding a watch and a pair of earrings, because as you know, for me no look is complete without a bit of jewelry.

I hope you'll like it! I wish you an amazing week!

Kisses,
Valentina

Hello Everyone! I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy 2015! May all your dreams and wishes come true and may 2015 bring nothing but joy to you!

Yes, I know I haven't written for a long long time, but the truth is that working from 9 to 5 in a country where it gets dark at 4  made it quite difficult for me to find the time to take pictures. And dressing up in weekends just to take some photos is not my style. However, I thought this isn't fair for those of you who want to see how I dress during winter, so I decided to start 2015 with the promise that I will try to post at least one outfit a week no matter what season might be.

I do feel that my style has evolved over the past year from something a bit experimental to more "me". I like to try something new every once in a while, but I think my style is starting to become a little more grown-up, which is not a surprise as I'm growing up myself. Though, I am still having a love affair with colors, lately I've found that I am slowly starting to wear calmer and softer hues. I just like being comfortable these days, but that doesn't mean you don't have to look good, right? Here's one of those looks I never get tired of. Comfy and chic just the way I like it!

This time I was wearing this Zara coat, that helped me get through the low below zero temperature, with a royal blue skirt made by my dear friend, Andreea. To make my layered outfit look stylish I chose these boots from Benvenuti which, I must confess, I will be wearing a lot this cold season.

What about you, loves? How was your year? What are your expectations for 2015?

Kisses,
Valentina
